As we draw near to the close of winter and with the smell of spring in the air, I always think of starting fresh ideas, new projects and the dreaded ‘spring clean’ of my abode.
We at MicroLoan Foundation are also starting something new, commencing in October! As you will read below, our sister operations in Zambia are now fully sustainable, and this has made us even more eager to get our Australian branch as equally effective by the third quarter of next year.
With only $15,000 to raise, before our loan book is complete, and we start the journey towards sustainability we are launching a $5000 in 50 days campaign.
Starting from the 7th October and running for 50 concurrent days, we are asking our supporters, their friends and their networks to Giving $50, per person via our Facebook page.
We will post regular updates with our achievements and publicly thank all of our supporters. We hope you will support us in this endeavor and are always eager to provide more information whenever possible.
Happy Spring everyone and I look forward to seeing your name on our Facebook page soon!

“At LG Accounting Solutions we believe that being in business is not just about creating value for our clients, it’s also about how we can use our success to help others succeed. Over the past few months as a team, we have looked at what matters most to us. We were asked “If we could use our business as a vehicle for good – what would that be”?
We plan to activate our Global Vision by investing (our expertise, time, money and human powers) into small youth focussed charitable organisations to help them grow the good they can do in their communities.
First cab off the rank is the Microloan Foundation. We were given a great presentation by Kirsten Shearn about how we can help….” CLICK HERE TO READ MORE

Meet our featured personal donors… Brett & Marie Jones
“My wife Marie and I started Cre8 Leadership Systems because we knew that with the right skills and insight everyone has the right to live a sensational life. As part of those values we have always supported non profits that enrich others lives.
MicroLoan Foundation allows people from difficult financial situations to reach out of the poverty cycle, contribute to their family, their society in a meaningful way. There can be no better feeling than knowing, with a small monthly Gifts, you are making a heart warming difference to people.”
Microloan Foundation Australia would like to extend a big thank you to Brett & Marie Jones for their kind support.
Case Study: The Timvetserane Group
The Timvetserane (“let’s listen to each other”) group has been taking loans from MicroLoan Foundation since 2011.
While these women knew each other through social activities prior to taking loans with MicroLoan Foundation, they have become close friends as a result of the credit group. They trust each other in order to ensure that everyone repays each fortnight. They are also able to rely on each other in case someone has been sick and cannot make a meeting
