On Australia Day this year, enterprising WA good bloke Stuart Moran decided to hold a charity sweepstake in aid of MicroLoan Foundation. The aim for competitors was to pick the songs that would make it into ABC radio station Triple J’s Australia Day Top 100 songs of the year (which is voted by the public via text and email). The winner, judged on a points-based system, took away a Soundcast Outcast speaker dock designed to be used outdoors. Not just a fantastic sound system, the prize was also given a makeover by urban artist Cherry Pearce, making it truly one of a kind.
Stuart raised $840 for MicroLoan Foundation, for which we are incredibly grateful. The money raised is now helping 10 (or more) women get small loans and business training that will help them lift themselves out of poverty.
Thank you Stuart!
